Some people don’t feel washing cloths regularly. It is fine as far as they are not worn for a protracted time or get in contact with gross contamination. Similarly some activities shed more dead skin cells like gym activity or mowing lawn etc. Gym cloths which come in direct contact with skin should be washed more frequently than those which do not come in direct contact. People don’t tend to wash things like winter coats and scarves a lot, which can cause bacteria and germs to build up in your winter clothes, making you sick. In the same way, after cleaning your body for example by taking a shower, we should wear proper cleaned cloths, otherwise used cloths will transfer microrganisms on a clean body. Number of microorganisms present on the cloths which are hanged in the wardrobe can be reduced by steaming. Steaming is effective on bacteria and viruses and also remove wrinkles on the fabric.
